Extremely Limited – Ultra Rare Mullard OC44 transistor circuit delivers thick fuzz effects

Our hand crafted, modernized MKIII style British fuzz circuit now available in a limited run with VERY rare British made Mullard OC44 black glass transistors. These transistors are pulled from a very small batch from Robert Keeley’s private stock. They have slightly more gain and produce more fuzz than the OC81 version.

What did we do to the Black Glass OC44 Edition to make this a Neo-Vintage twist-up of the Mark III?  We gave it a power supply inversion so that you can just connect it to your Voodoo Lab style power supply.  Nive volts, Negative tip like any other modern effect pedal.  Here’s where it gets good though, with a cleaver modification to the fuzz and tone controls we were able to allow a wealth of tone and harmonics through.  This unique mod is something you just won’t get in any other fuzz..until it’s copied…

Update 10/8/2014 – I have added a few more genuine vintage NOS Mullard OC44 transistors that were to be used in the early Java Boost pedals. These have been in storage for about 5 years, nearly forgotten about!

Update 1/2015 – More OC-44 units have been built!!!  Black Glass OC44 are now all hand sanded!

Update 4/13/2015 – Added a few more OC44 Black Glass transistor models.  Only a handful more are going to be made.
