Awful Waffle Slime Blaster

Awful Waffle

The Awful Waffle Slime Blaster is a maple syrup based treble inflation device that can push your amp into screaming overdrive. Three modes and two knobs to control gain and output let you tailor the effect from subtle to saturated.  It is based on the old Big D Rangemaster and the transistor we use is our beloved National Semiconductor 2n3565 NPN.  Not as soft as a butter based treble booster, the Maple Silicon has more gain and has plenty more edge.  Somewhere between a Fuzz and a Cocked Wah is the Awful Waffle.  It’s the 90s and this pedal’s the Shiz Nick!

WHAT IS GOING ON KEELEY?!?!

Well, we had a bunch of amazing boards for the Germanium Ecstasy that were not reverse polarity for PNP transistors so we housed them in a bunch of Slime Green cases that we’ve had on the “Do Not Use Under Any Circumstance” shelf.

The Awful Waffle Treble Booster is a hand made boost pedal perfect for classic tones from the 60’s and 70’s. This Limited Edition of 30 units will NOT be made again.

This Neo-Vintage effect must be used with a cranked amp that is breaking up or distorting a bit already.  Cranking the amp and pedal will result in more creamy, beautiful, sustaining distortion.

This product is a Treble Booster by design, not a typical overdrive or distortion pedal. That means, the higher the note played, the more it gets amplified and distorted.  Bass notes remain tight and defined!  Kinda like Syrup at Day Camp.

Treble Boosters like these have been used for many, many years by the likes of Tony Iommi, Brian May, Rory Gallagher, Eric ClaptonRitchie Blackmore, Dweezil Zappa and  Wolf Hoffmann use Keeley’s Java Boost, this one is just edgier and greener.

Do you have a dark sounding amp?  Old Marshall or Vox?  This is your ticket to tone-nirvana.
